My sister gave me a recipe for whole wheat waffles. It makes the most delicious, filling, waffles or pancakes. It has become a tradition in my family to have waffles for lunch every Sunday. I found that is takes just as much effort to make a single batch as it does a quadruple batch.
I modified the recipe to contain only dry ingredients (powdered eggs, etc.), so it is now a waffle mix. I also scaled the recipe up to a 20X batch. I can make this one time and it will feed my family of six every Sunday for a month.
To make the waffles, all you need to add to the mix is oil and water.
Store bought waffle mix is bland and costly. This recipe is made from ingredients found in a typical family food storage.
